Hi Creators, thank you for bringing to our attention potential copyright issues with a business called TEMU. We can confirm this has not been authorised by thortful.
Whilst we’re not able to pursue claims on your behalf because, as you know, you are the intellectual property owner, we can give you advice and the means to pursue a claim directly.
As such, we asked our lawyers, Cripps, to create a template that may help you advance a copyright claim with TEMU and we’ve outlined a step by step process you can take below to help you get to the point quickly with TEMU.
You can send a notice of Infringement of Your Rights here.
- Please select the Copyright option. (If you select the Design option, you will have to provide a registration number for your design later on).
- Enter the TEMU URLs of the designs in question.
- Tick “My copyright is used on the product or product package”
- In the more information box, please feel free to use this template:
It has come to our attention that you have copied design/s (the “work”) that are currently registered on thortful.com without my authorisation. This work is copyright protected.
Please see evidence below: (Insert links from either thortful.com or your own website here)
Accordingly, I insist that you immediately cease the use and distribution of all infringing materials derived from the work, and all copies, including electronic copies, of the same be destroyed
- Add your country in the dropdown
- Tick Public Link
- Add the URLs from either thortful.com or your own website
- Name of Rights’ Holder (Use your Creator name or the name that is visible on the links provided the previous step)
- What brand owns the intellectual property in this report – add your Creator name
- Select Rights Owner
- Add your contact information

How do I know if my designs are on TEMU?
Use keywords in the search, this is usually an easy way to find your designs. Another option is to go to your own designs and reverse image search to see what other websites they may appear on.
In order to reverse image search, on Google Chrome, you can right click on the image and select ‘Search with Google Lens’. To reverse image search on Microsoft, right-click on an image. In the menu, select Search in sidebar for image. The sidebar will open and provide reverse image search results on the right side of the window. This is a good way to check your designs, however please note it is not always 100% accurate.
