PDAs: whether you’re guilty of them or not, it’s something that divides us as a nation. Whereas some people are completely OK with snogging in public, others start blushing when they see couples giving each other a peck on the cheek!
We decided to uncover all the things Brits are guilty of getting up to in public (and how many have been caught in the act!), in addition to all the things Brits hate seeing others do out in the open, and needless to say, the results are very interesting…
When it comes to getting frisky, 15% of the UK public have admitted to having sex outside – with 40% of them getting caught in the act (well, they do say the extra risk is a turn-on!). Londoners are most likely to get it on outdoors, whereas Leeds are the least likely, favouring the bedroom instead.
The findings also show that men are more up for PDAs than women! More men admitted to having sex and snogging in public, (amongst other things!), compared to women!
MALE vs. FEMALE
It seems that age also plays a factor in levels of promiscuity and prudishness. Generation X were the most risqué with Millennials not far behind in second place. Perhaps surprisingly, being risqué doesn’t run in the family with the baby boomer generation (many of whom are parents of millennials) were the most prudish!
Most Risqué Generations
METHODOLOGY
thortful surveyed Brits to find out their opinions on PDA (Public Displays of Affection), what they feel uncomfortable witnessing (kissing, hugging etc) as well as what they’re guilty of doing.
From the results, we created a weighted index to reveal the most promiscuous cities in the UK.
